Delivery of Rave entails over 6,000 Nautical Miles, (11,100 Kilometres) from the Caribbean to Durban, South Africa.
This route would be considered by any seasoned blue water sailor as a "Bitch Trip" Particularly the leg from Trinidad to Fortaleza, which at this time of the year is Easterly winds on the nose!
Either way the trip is not going to be pleasant and boat and crew will be tested on a number of occasions during the +- 60 day passage
For this reason we have entrusted the services of Indigo Yacht Deliveries, and Rave will be sailed in the capable hands of Skipper Jan Wouter and his trusted 1st Mate Johanna Charnock....! Anyone needing a yacht delivery I suggest you contact Indigo Here
Rave will undergo some sail and rig modifications in the Caribbean, before the trip to ensure more safety when things get rough. These modifications will also be carried out by Jan Wouter, who also specialises in this!

When Rave leaves for the trip. It's course will be plotted and update regularly on the globe above... So check back for news on it's progress. See daily log Here
I will also post Jan and Jo's updated comments as the trip progresses along with any on board (low res) pictures they may send me!
Jan & Jo will be in contact with me via Satellite Phone and Email from the boat during the trip. I hope Jan & Jo have a great and safe passage and look forward to seeing them safe and sound in Durban!
The yacht was renamed "Rave" from "Hunters Moon" after my previous yacht also called Rave !
